Lake Forest is the most estate-scale town we serve — National Register historic districts, homes designed by David Adler and Howard Van Doren Shaw, and planned developments like the Deerpath Hill Estates district, built in the 1920s in a formal English Garden style with Tudor Revival, Colonial Revival, and French Norman architecture.
Half-timbering, stone facades, steep gables, leaded glass, and symmetrical brick or clapboard with classical columns — this is work that has to read as historically literate, not just well-installed. We plan for that level of precision from the first assessment.
